Parent FAQ

Everything you need to know about your student's fundraiser.

How does this fundraiser work?

This fundraiser unites the entire group to engage with hundreds, even thousands, of potential donors. We leverage technology, student networks, and exciting incentives to channel funds directly into the booster club's bank account. Students make personal connections and are motivated by fun individual and team incentives to meet their fundraising goals.

How does the process work?

Students seek support from family and friends, both near and far, by using their personal fundraising link and reaching out via phone, text, and email.

The fundraiser in 5 steps:

  1. 1 Families and students generate a long list of contacts
  2. 2 Students create their personal fundraiser page
  3. 3 Students attend the kickoff event where they contact potential donors and share the link to their personal fundraising page
  4. 4 Parents and students share the campaign site on social media
  5. 5 The system sends out reminders to contacts entered into BackStage

How does my student create contacts?

Each student will fill out their contacts on the contact worksheet, enter those contacts into the fundraising system (BackStage), and then turn in the contact list. The goal is at least 25 contacts.

I don't know 25 people — who should I include?

Start with your inner circle (for calls)

Close friends and family who know your student well — grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, close personal friends. This is who your student will call directly.

Then expand your network (for texts & emails)

Co-workers, casual acquaintances, distant relatives, and former classmates. This is the group to send text messages or emails to.
