FUNDRAISING FOR WINTER GUARD

Winter guard fundraising
that covers the season fee.

Floors, props, costumes, circuit entry, travel to regionals — winterguard season lands a bill on every family before the first show. A five-week online campaign spreads it across everyone who loves your performers.

WHY IT WORKS

Run it in November. Have the money before the first show.

Winter guard fees come due between November and January, and regionals start in February. A five-week campaign that kicks off right after marching season puts the money in hand before floor deposits and circuit fees land — and the families who just watched fall guard are the warmest donors you'll have all year.

Its own campaign, or a fund in the band's

Run winter guard as its own fundraiser, or as a branded fund inside the band program's Campaign Hub. Either way, guard money is tracked as guard money.

Every performer gets a page

Each member gets a personal page with their photo and story, plus one-tap sharing to everyone on their list. Twenty members with 25 contacts each is 500 personal asks.

Independent guards too

School guard, independent guard, scholastic or open class — if you have members, families, and a season fee, the process is the same.

PROVEN IN THE FIELD

Small-ensemble proof

Guard-sized groups, documented results.

Part of a bigger department? A Campaign Hub puts every fine arts program on one page — each as its own branded fund, with per-fund reporting and one payout.

BEYOND THE CAMPAIGN

Two more streams, all year long.

Every campaign also includes a corporate sponsor page for local businesses and a monthly giving club for your most loyal supporters — steady money that keeps coming between campaigns, with students earning incentive credit for both.

Common questions

How much does winter guard cost per member?

It varies widely. Local scholastic guards often run a few hundred dollars a member; programs that travel to WGI regionals and beyond can run well over $1,000 once floors, props, costumes and travel are counted. A season-long fundraiser lets families cover it together instead of one invoice at a time.

When should a winter guard start fundraising?

Right after marching season — November is ideal. Five weeks gets the money in hand by December or early January, before circuit fees, floor deposits and February regionals.

Can winter guard fundraise separately from the band boosters?

Yes. Run its own campaign, or its own fund inside the band's Campaign Hub, so guard money and reporting stay clean. If the boosters fund everything, join the band's campaign and skip the second ask.

Does this work for independent winter guards?

Yes. Independent and scholastic guards run it the same way — members, families, and a season fee to cover.
